We Hear You
Here at SCALES, we take our relationship with our customers very seriously so when you guys speak, we listen! If you head over to our swim section – and I suggest you do as it's been fully restocked with all of your favorite SCALES styles – you're going to notice a pretty significant update (spoiler alert: we changed our swim sizing.) To address this, as well as some other questions that have been popping up lately, we would like to take the time to provide some answers here.
Why did SCALES modify the sizing?
We listened to our customers! We moved from a proprietary sizing model to the industry's standard swim sizing to improve customer confidence and shopping experience. All size charts on the site have been updated to reflect the new sizing. We carry small, medium, large and x-large.
Does SCALES prefer bikinis over one-piece swimwear?
Personally, we love them both equally! We don't sell one-piece swimsuits at the moment but we are considering many gorgeous designs (coming soon!) Bikinis, however, will always be timeless. SCALES bikinis tops are still available in triangle and bimini twist styles while the bottoms come in classic and AC (that is, Additional Coverage. See diagram below.) These suits are great for every degree of water and, of course, for looking amazing when you take that selfie with your catch.
What is a "Baiting" suit and where can I get one?
We put an angler's spin on the classic bikini by adding squid skirt "lures". These exclusive Baiting Suits® are patented and registered trademarks of SCALES and can be purchased at scalesgear.com.
What is your swim return policy?
If you're not 100% satisfied for any reason whatsoever, return it for a full refund! It's that simple. If the item doesn’t fit, we will happily exchange it for the correct size. We accept packages within 365 days of the sale date and we'll give you a complete exchange/refund. We'll also pay for the return shipping. All we ask is that the product is not used and is in the same condition you received it.
Can I machine wash my SCALES swimsuit?
To keep your suit looking its best, we recommend hand washing your suit by itself with cold water and a gentle soap. Do not soak, just a quick wash will do! If you feel like you must throw your suit in the wash, use a cold water delicate cycle. Afterwards, just lay flat in the shade or hang dry.
